Share with Review Mode in Microsoft Word prevents unintended edits

Microsoft Word have recently announced new feature “Open in Review Mode Only“.

What is “Open in Review Mode Only”?

Once you share your Word document in Open In Review Mode it limits recipients to make edits.

“Open in review mode only” can help to prevent unintended edits to the document. With this the owners of the documents can control when someone make any new edits to the document, and only document owners can accept or reject changes made by other recipients.

You will be able to reject your own changes but can’t accept or reject someone else’s changes unless you are not the file owner.

When you share the document, you will find a new option in the Link Settings > Other Settings page.

Just toggle the button to Open in Review mode feature.

At the moment this feature is supported only for the web version of Microsoft Word and we hope to see this coming to desktop version as well.
